GoFuture Sustainability Campaign

GoFuture Idea

Ready, Steady, Go Future!

At Biotest, we want to be responsible towards our patients, our plasma donors, future generations and our planet. That’s the reason why it is our mission to achieve complete CO2 neutrality by 2035.

GoFuture is Biotest’s sustainability campaign with the aim of thinking and acting more sustainably. This campaign is intended to generate enthusiasm and motivation for more sustainability so that we can take off together into a future in which more sustainability can be felt and experienced across all products and the company.

What is sustainability for us?

The term sustainability is broad and can be defined in different ways, but in the end, it means acting now to create a positive impact for the future. That‘s why the United Nations defined 17 goals to cover all levels of sustainability – may they be socially, economically or ecologically.1

The Biotest philosophy "From Nature for Life" shows that our identity is closely linked to the concept of sustainability. As a pharmaceutical company that uses donors’ blood plasma as a natural resource for drug production, we feel a tremendous responsibility towards both humanity and the environment. For this reason, the responsible handling of our plasma donors and the valuable resource of human plasma is particularly important to us.

“For us, sustainability means acting economically, but also socially and ecologically in a responsible way, providing access to our patients for our life-saving products, making sure that more people can use those products but also this valuable resource which is plasma donated by human donors, making sure that we appreciate the solidarity of donors...”

Peter Janssen, Biotest Chief Executive Officer
